Pittosporum silver sheen height. Male scented dark brown maroon flowers appear in late spring or early summer. Details silver sheen is a columnar fairly open growing large shrub or small tree up to 5m high with dark reddish purple stems and very small pale green ovate leaves with a greyish silver sheen. It grows to around four metres high two and a half metres wide if left unpruned but can be pruned to height and shape. This cultivar has notably more open habit and smaller leaves than the species.
Pittosporums usually grow to between 20 and 35 feet though they may be kept smaller with pruning. They are fairly rapid growers adding about 24 inches in height in the course of a growing season. Pittosporum tenuifolium silver sheen is a fast growing vigorous evergreen tall shrub with small silvery green glossy leaves and inconspicuous reddish purple flowers.
